Ana Lucia González Ibáñez is a Mexican architect with a doctorate in regional planning, specialising in the preservation of cultural heritage. She recently founded ANA IBAÑEZ Contemporary Jewellery Studio, a creative venture that seeks to redefine ornamentation beyond the confines of fashion. This militant project aims to explore new ways of addressing cultural preservation, cultural diversity, and biodiversity.

Her inspirations include architecture, literature, comics, Mesoamerican cosmogony, nature, women, and sociopolitical imaginaries. Her work combines contemporary techniques with traditional methods, employing a wide range of mixed media and materials, from metal and embroidery to transfer techniques, laser cutting, and more. Experimentation lies at the heart of her process, often leading to unexpected discoveries and surprising outcomes in her creations.
