Description/ Story of the piece The Colony 1 Necklace is an integral part of the narrative of the Infest collection. The clusters of leather ‘beads’ are reminiscent of the repetitive patterns and shapes seen in insect colonies. The necklace represents a mass of beetles infesting a space or, perhaps, a body with it’s beautiful but grotesquely organ-like red leather material.
