This necklace is from the Hattton’s Section collection. The starting point was the craggy basalt columns in Holyrood Park; the collection developed during lockdown, and the emotion captured was the sense of things formed under pressure, like the volcanic rocks forced up through the other rocks, of permanence, solidity, yet simultaneously fragile, fracturing/ splintering.
