“Colours convey information, evoke a mood, and influence decision making. To create original statement pieces, intuition is used as a personal tool to translate the familiar and unfamiliar from the subconscious to an open-ended art form for the viewers. This means that I am often exposed to vulnerability and uncertainty at the beginning of the process that has allowed space for unlearning perfection and to appreciate unconditioned forms of beauty. I am often amazed at the unlimited probabilities in colours and design through this medium which allows for experimentation and to seek newness in mundane. The elaborate and intimate process of creating polymer clay jewellery involves steps like illustration, conditioning clay, colour recipes, sculpting, firing, sanding, polishing, and assembly of the pieces to attain quality and maintain the timelessness of each piece.”
