Einat Cohen is an innovative artist and designer whose jewellery creations blend diverse influences and materials into striking, sculptural works. Raised in Jerusalem and now based in Brooklyn, New York, Einat began her artistic journey in Tel Aviv, studying multidisciplinary design at Seminar Hakibutzim College with a focus on costume design for the performing arts. In 2008, she launched her brand, Frog Aspect.
Each piece begins with an exploration of her materials’ unique properties, testing their behaviours and boundaries. Through a process tailored to each material, she manipulates and reshapes them, transforming their original purpose into innovative, tactile experiences. Guided by the principles of imperfection and changeability, this meticulous approach defines her artistic practice
Einat’s early collections featured theatrical, hand-knotted scarves made from fabric scraps, later reimagined for warmer climates using lightweight, flexible spandex. Over time, her vision evolved to encompass jewellery, incorporating metalsmithing alongside unconventional materials such as manipulated Tyvek paper and rubber. Her designs blend structured elegance with a playful, modern aesthetic.
Each piece by Frog Aspect reflects Einat’s mastery of materials and her distinctive artistic perspective. Her handcrafted works combine contemporary design with wearable art, offering collectors jewellery with a bold, unconventional, and sculptural edge.
