Lucia Rovira was born in 1977, Montevideo, Uruguay.
1997 – 2000: Goldsmith Official Title, Pedro Figari School of Arts and Crafts, Universidad del Trabajo, Uruguay.
Since 2001, she has participated in various exhibitions and fairs related to art, craftsmanship, and design.
For several years, she has worked in her studio/workshop in Montevideo, where she exhibits and sells exclusive pieces of her own design.
Her work is divided into several core collections, where form, technique, and concept are developed in parallel.
Purity in line, texture contrast, and the pursuit of simplicity are the key principles in her creative process. Each piece is personalized, made from noble materials with meticulous attention to detail in both the finishing and the final result.
“I found my way by navigating through the discipline, technique, and repetition of the craft, alongside the freedom, instinct, and passion of art. Bringing these worlds together was a discovery of happiness, a journey of continuous exploration, with each one nourishing and enhancing the other. I constantly seek to simplify the complex, refining concepts to their utmost. That synthesis is my personal language, a kind of code, and also an enigma.”
