Cluster Contemporary Jewellery Exhibitor | AI Exhibitor | December 2024
Natali Arefieva is a fashion photographer with over 20 years of experience, whose work has been published in Vogue, Forbes, GQ, and other magazines.
In recent years, Natali has begun a new phase of her career, transitioning into contemporary art and exploring physical forms of expression. A significant step in her artistic journey was her participation in an exhibition held in Venice during the 2024 Venice Biennale, where she showcased an installation of foil and mirrors, exploring themes of light, transformation, and inner growth. This project marked a pivotal moment in her transition from photography to physical art forms.
Today, Natali is inspired by technology and actively explores the creative possibilities of artificial intelligence. She creates AI-generated works in the fashion genre, including jewellery and sculptures, pushing the boundaries of traditional art. Natali is also working on launching her own gallery in the metaverse, where her projects will engage with the digital realm.
Her work continues to explore themes of light and inner metamorphosis, symbolising the journey towards self-discovery and spiritual awakening.
Arefieva’s phygital approach dismantles traditional boundaries between art and technology, revealing new possibilities for aesthetic and intellectual engagement. Her practice redefines light not merely as a physical phenomenon but as a transformative force shaping identity and perception, bridging the present and the infinite.
Natali Arefieva investigates light as a phenomenon that transcends the boundaries of physical and digital realities. Her work navigates the intersection of technology, materiality, and human perception, challenging viewers to rethink the dynamics of space and self-reflection.
Through mirrors, gilded surfaces, and cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and augmented reality, she creates installations that transform light into a medium of conceptual exploration. Reflective materials and interactive effects construct spaces where the tangible meets the intangible, inviting the audience into a dialogue with their own presence within the work.
