Patrizia Giachero, known as Patriziaj, was born in 1967 in Pinerolo, Piedmont, Italy, where she currently lives and works. She pursued classical studies that contributed to her artistic development and discovered ceramics while studying for her law degree in Turin. In the following years, she continued to refine her craft under the guidance of master Antonio Russo.

In recent years, Patrizia turned her focus to contemporary jewellery, creating unique, artistically driven pieces. Deeply committed to sustainability in jewellery, she experiments with organic materials, challenging traditional notions of preciousness. Her creations are inspired by the forest, from which she draws continuous nourishment, observing its shapes and colours, listening to its sounds, and capturing its vibrations, which her hands then transform into jewellery.

In her latest project, begun in 2022, she explored the use of eggshells, transforming them from their original form into something unrecognizable. Her jewellery emerges from an intricate process of research, experimentation, setbacks, and successes, where she often works in harmony with the raw material rather than attempting to dominate it. This approach gives rise to unexpected shapes and surprising, one-of-a-kind results.

Patrizia is a regular participant in Italian and international exhibitions and fairs, and her work is featured in several publications.

Patrizia Giachero, known as PatriziaJ, is a contemporary artist who addresses themes of sustainability and value in a distinctive and instinctive way. Naturally curious, she finds inspiration in the world around her, searching for natural materials or repurposing items traditionally intended for other uses but ultimately discarded. Through this process, she explores new creative pathways and delights in the unexpected results.

Her creative process does not rely on preliminary sketches; instead, she immerses her hands in the material, observing how it responds and following its natural flow. She creates, deconstructs, reshapes, and refines until achieving a result that resonates with her. Far removed from conventional jewellery, her pieces are unique, silent messengers that convey love and respect for nature, prompting reflection on what is truly precious today to ensure a sustainable tomorrow.

FIRE THE FOREST RING II | 2023

The collection presented at the London Cluster Contemporary Jewellery Fair stems from a meditation on the "cages" humanity has constructed in its quest to dominate the natural world. Crafted from eggshells, a material she has been experimenting with for two years, the collection transforms this fragile, discarded element into something unrecognizable and wearable, breathing new life into its form.
